About the role
You will run Neev's business in Bathinda, Mansa and Barnala. That means getting our authorised distributors stocked before the sowing window opens, and making sure the packets move off their shelves before it closes.
What you will do
- Appoint and manage authorised distributors and their retailer counters across the three districts. Assess a party's creditworthiness before appointing them, not after.
- Build the season indent with your ASM, variety by variety, for kharif (cotton, paddy, bajra, moong) and rabi (wheat, mustard, gram, berseem), then get that stock physically into the godown before the window opens. Seed billed in June for a June sowing is seed the farmer has already bought from somebody else.
- Book demonstration plots with progressive farmers ahead of each season, and bring dealers and farmer groups to see the crop at the stage where it actually looks like something.
- Run farmer meetings in Punjabi. Answer questions on seed rate, spacing, sowing window and duration without having to phone anyone.
- Track liquidation counter by counter, not just primary billing. Report what has actually reached the farmer, because that is the number that decides next season.
- Manage outstanding recovery against agreed credit terms, and raise a risk with your ASM early rather than at the end of the season.
- Report what the competition is doing: which hybrids are being pushed, at what price, on what scheme, and which varieties are gaining at your counters.
- Log field complaints the same day, with photographs, village name, lot number and the farmer's contact, so QA in Hisar can trace it back to a physical retention sample.
What you must have
- B.Sc Agriculture (4 year) or M.Sc Agriculture.
- 2 to 5 years selling seed, crop protection or fertiliser to dealers and farmers in Punjab.
- Fluent Punjabi and Hindi. You will run farmer meetings in Punjabi.
- Own two-wheeler and a valid driving licence.
- A working smartphone. Daily reporting happens on WhatsApp.
Nice to have
- Existing dealer relationships in Bathinda, Mansa or Barnala.
- Cotton or paddy hybrid selling experience.
- Experience organising field days or crop seminars.
Where you will work
Based in Bathinda. You will not be asked to shift to Hisar. 20 to 22 days a month in the field, across three districts. Overnight stays during kharif and rabi stock placement. Monday to Saturday.
